Here are some things to do after Steve's performance of Salute to Reading:

- Look for a book about a far-away place. Imagine you are in that place. What do the
people wear? What do they eat? What are their houses like? Would you like to live
there? - Look for a book about a famous person. What would it be like to be that person?
Would you like to be that person? - Look for a book that can make you laugh. Perhaps a book of riddles or jokes, or
just a funny story. Tell someone that story so they can laugh, too. - Look for a book that can show you how to do something fun like a magic trick or
how to juggle.
Other things to try:
- Use puppets to act out a story you've read.
- Memorize a poem you've read and recite it for someone.
- Read a book together with a friend.
